More about this event
Together with the sanitation experts aneco, architects atba and the cooperative Equilibre, VaLoo invites architects and interested professionals to a thematic Workshop.
Equilibre, a housing cooperative in Geneve, is a Swiss pioneer, pushing the definition of sustainable construction to include various social aspects and wastewater management as well. For example, at Soubeyran, a building with 38 flats, the wastewater is treated on-site using vermifiltration. Treated water is then used for toilet flushing and garden irrigation. Why is such sustainable sanitation important in Swiss cities? How can resource-oriented sanitation help us improve wastewater treatment? What are the social challenges and requirements for circular santation to be implemented? What are the architectural implications of circular sanitation? We are looking forward to discussing these questions during an informative and interactive workshop with you!
